T.Ode - The Traveling Toronto Story
From May 26th to June 25th, Humanitas is traveling to neighbourhoods, schools, homes for the aged, festivals, events and buildings in Toronto, in an AirStream trailer-turned-recording-studio, to inspire and enable Torontonians to share their stories of this place - of the people who live here, the place we have become and the place we dream to be in the future.
Participating is easy:
- Choose an interview partner, like a friend or loved one who you feel has an important story to tell about Toronto past present or future that you want to have for generations to come. (All participants must be ten years or older.)
- Make a reservation for a Toronto Story recording session See our reservations and locations page to make a reservation online.
- Record your interview together. You'll have forty minutes for the interview. Our facilitator will sit with you in the Airstream, making a digital recording with broadcast-quality equipment. Visit our Question Sampler for ideas to help you create a list of questions for your interview.
- Take home a copy of your interview on CD. And, with your permission, a copy of your interview will become part of Humanitas' Toronto Story Archives for future exhibitions. You can also make your interview available for possible broadcast on CBC's Metro Morning, Here & Now and Outfront.
Listen to the MC Abdominal song (featuring Notes to Self) that inspired the name, T.Ode
